They could not have been nicer
We stayed at Measham House Farm for the weekend while my husband was doing a course nearby and really enjoyed our visit. Our bedroom was very nicely furnished with a lovely view of sheep grazing and open countryside, a very comfortable double bed and a nice shower room with lovely big towels – there was everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The full English breakfast was delicious (cooked by Di and served by John) with bacon and sausages from their own pigs, homemade jams and cafetiere coffee. John and Di were so welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to make us feel at home - telling us about the area and suggesting several NT houses I could visit locally, printing off maps for me and booking a local pub for us to go to for supper on the second night of our stay

“Wonderful B&B, Lovely Hosts”
We stayed at Measham House Farm in July 2011 as we were attending a wedding near by. We had a beautiful room, with a great view over the farmland, free internet access and complimentary sherry!
The hosts Diane and John were very friendly and welcoming. We had an accident on the M6 on the way down so were without a car and John even gaves us lifts into Ashby and Appleby Magna which was much appreciated.
A lovely B&B which we would thoroughly recommend.

“Lovely farm and guest house”
We stayed three nights at Measham House Farm which is a lovely 200 year old Georgian house. We had a large room with country views. The hosts were extremely helpful even letting us do washing in their laundry. The breakfasts were excellent and there is free internet.

“Lovely B&B”
First impressions were quaint, elegant, good old fashioned B&B.
Set in the countryside of Measham, and next door to Champney Springs too! The B&B is surrounded with fields of sheep/lambs, views are beautiful. Good Location for exploring Leicestershire, Staffordshire, and Derbyshire. It does have a camp site also.
I got into my room, and it was beautiful, big, clean and elegant. Tea/Coffee, TV and internet available. We opted in for the full english breakfast which I have to say was gorgeous, certainly sets you up for the day.
There are lots and lots of antiques around the house, which I should imagine hold some history. We would stay in this B&B again when we visit again.
Just a quick thank you for the use of the room on Saturday. You have a wonderful home with beautifully fitted-out rooms and the welcome and breakfast are excellent. Thank you also for directing us to the Belper Arms. It was just what we were looking for and we had a great meal at a very reasonable price.
Hope to have the excuse to come again next year.

What a fantastic stay we had with you.
Having stayed at B & B's around the UK over the years, we just have to tell you that Measham House Farm has been one of the very best. What a magnificent old English house it is, and with such elegance and charm. If that wasn't enough, the warmth and hospitality you both showed us made our stay a delight. Breakfast was a real treat with all your homemade and home-grown produce. If the 'Bradgate Room' is anything to go by as far as comfort is concerned, then all we can say is that we had two of the best nights in comfort away from home in a long time!
If in the area again we shall definitely book a stay with you.

A warm welcome
Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Comfort, food and friendly service - all outstanding. Diane's home made food and preserves are superb. Nothing too much trouble. Daughter thought laptop in our room was amazing - quess what - so did we.

Best night ever
Probably one of the best night we have ever had staying away with our little kids (5+3)
John and Di are great hosts, rooms were spotless, beds comfy, rooms very well supplied with gadgets, necessaries, etc... (including iPod player/charger).
Breakfast included loads of fresh fruit from garden - rasp, gooseberries, damsons and rhubarb...
Lovely setting too
We are already trying to plan to stay there again....!

Just a wee note of grateful Thanks for the wonderful couple of days I spent in Leicestershire based in your lovely house nr Measham. It was a very pleasant eye-opener! As ruined as Ive always been with the dramatic ,clean and sparsely populated Scottish landscape.It was a great contrast to enjoy those warm and summery leafy lanes! If I tumble down your way again,particularly in a vehicle,for a change I'll be sure to stop by and say hello!
